Our History…
We were established in 1991. For more than 20 years, we have been an extension of home for so many children. To this day, we continue to work together with parents in helping their youngsters develop physically, socially, emotionally, and mentally at their own pace. As a Child Care Provider in Anaheim, California, we recognize that all children have different developmental stages and will work with the child to enhance their individuality and independence.
Child-Focused Learning Environment
Our learning environment is designed to encourage each child to discover and learn independently or with our guidance, while still enjoying the fun and creativity of childhood. We focus on hands-on learning, educational activities, play, socialization, and age-appropriate development to help children build confidence, independence, and essential skills.
Bilingual Child Care
Hola! Se Hable Español! Happy Hearts Preschool and Childcare offers bilingual child care. We give children a chance to learn Spanish as their second language while also exploring different cultures and instilling a deep respect for diversity.
Our Staff
Our child care staff have up-to-date certifications for CPR and First Aid. Periodically, we conduct trainings for our staff to keep them abreast of the latest techniques in child care safety, health and wellness. To effectively supervise all children under our care, we maintain better staff to children ratio compared to other providers. Happy Hearts Preschool and Childcare operates with 3 care staff for 12 to 14 children.
Meet The Owner
Edith Gates is the proud owner of Happy Hearts Preschool and Childcare. Aside from being state-licensed as a child care provider and a passionate advocate for quality early childhood education, Edith also has a professional background and degree in dentistry. Drawing from this experience, she helps teach children proper oral hygiene and age-appropriate tooth-brushing techniques to encourage healthy habits from an early age.
She earned an Early Childhood Education Degree and is an active member of organizations like the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAECY), the Orange County Child Care Association (OCCCA), Children’s Home Society, Family Child Care Network Program (FCCN), Cal Works, California Department of Education and more.
